Bismillah!
Al Hamdulillah!
Wa AsSalatu AsSalamu A’la Rasulillah!
(1)
وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِى حُكْمِهِۦٓ أَحَدًۭا
“He shares His command/ Law with none”.
(Sura Kahf 18:26)
(2)
An Analogy and a Simple Math:
When you work for an Organisation, they give you a job description, right?
Yes.
Is following those job descriptions is what deemed as working for the Org?
Yes.
Why did Allah create us?
To worship Him.
But then did He give us commands to follow?
Yes.
Is following those Commands deemed as worshipping Allah?
Yes.
Did Allah give you laws to obey?
Yes.
Does following Allah’s law mean worshipping Allah?
Yes.
Then, isn’t following and accepting a law other than Allah’s law mean worshipping those authorities (except when forced)?
Seems so.
Are you not sure? What’s the doubt about?
Well, while I agree with you as to a general application of the arguments you brought in though it might not be that straightforward for everybody and for all occasions. Muslims are in many different situations now. Many Muslims in the last century were born under the Kuffar’s law. They had no idea they were following and obeying the kuffar’s law. For many, they had no choice but to seek judgement in the existing Kuffar’s laws and so on.
Relax buddy. I didn’t apply to anyone or to any particular situation yet. This is just only to get into a logical understanding of the issue of whether by logic it is Shirk (worshipping) or not in obeying any other laws other than Allah’s Shariah.
I understand. Logically yes, you are correct. Since Allah Subhanahu ordained Shariah for us to follow/ obey, and of course, following His Shariah is worshipping Him, therefore, following/ obeying other laws means worshipping those who made those laws. It’s Simple to understand. Yes! It’s a simple math.
Thank you.
But it’s not really as simple as you said. I would add one condition to that of your saying of ‘following/ obeying other’s laws’ with ‘following/ obeying/ accepting other laws WILLINGLY and KNOWINGLY’ as I want to preserve ‘unwilling’ following/ obeying/ accepting and ‘un-knowing’ following/ obeying/ accepting for a broader discussion En Shaa Allah.
Then, can we conclude the following that willingly and knowingly accepting/ submitting/ obeying any law other than/contradicting to the Shariah of Allah is worshipping those authorities who made those laws?
Yes, definitely.
So, when you worship others, what is deserved by Allah ONLY, what is that action called?
You made someone equal to the position of Allah.
Nauzubillah!
And what is that called?
An act of SHIRK.
And the one who does the act, what is he be called?
MUSHRIK.
It’s a Simple math.
Period.
And Allah knows best.
(3)
Allah, Al-Khaliq, The Creator, created us to worship Him, that’s the purpose of our life.
Then, Allah, Al-Ilaha, the Only ILAHA, commanded us and taught us Ebadah, therefore, we take Him as our ILAHA and worship Him.
Also, Allah, Al-Hakeem, gave us LAW for every aspect of our life. Therefore, we take Him as our ILAHA and obey those LAWS, thus we also worship Him by obeying His LAWS.
In essence, everything Allah Subhanahu commanded us meant to be followed and everything we do following those commands is worshipping Him. Thus obeying His LAWS also means worshipping Him.
Therefore, when a ‘Muslim’ obeys/ accepts/ submits to the Kuffar’s Law willingly, he gives Allah’s right to those who made those laws. Thus he commits Shirk.
To be more precise, we can phrase it this way:
When a ‘Muslim’ willingly, and knowingly subjected himself to the Kuffar’s Law (man-made laws) except when he is forced to, he gives Allah’s right to those who made those laws. Thus he commits Shirk. (Whoever is applicable)
And Allah knows best.
May Allah protect us.
(4)
Let’s do another Critical Reasoning:
Allah Subhanahu says,
“So whoever would hope for the meeting with his RABB let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his RABB anyone.”
(Sura Kahf 18:110)
When a man worships Idol, we know it as Shirk. We call the person a Mushrik.
But what does he do here?
He gives the right to an Idol, which belongs to Allah only.
He is giving the Share of Ebadah to an Idol. That’s how it is Shirk.
And then, what Allah says here?
“He shares His command/ Law with NONE.”
(Sura Kahf 18:26)
What is our situation today?
By default, a ‘Muslim’ obeys the law of the Kuffar.
Any law that goes against Allah’s law and he is following it, accepting it unless he is forced to, unless he has no other way, he is giving the Share of Allah’s right to the maker of the law! He puts the maker of the law in the position of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
Does it make sense now, how by default knowingly ‘Muslims’ are committing Shirk by obeying the Kuffar’s law? (Whoever applicable) (The issue of un-knowing submission, we can discuss later, En Shaa Allah)
(6)
And what is the status of those who claim the right, which belongs to Allah, AL-ILAH, the ONLY ILAHA?
They are called ‘Other ILAHA’.
Thus, when a ‘Dr. Kamal Hossain’ wrote the constitution of Bangladesh, as an example, while many of the laws were against Allah’s law, he became an ILAHA (‘God’) or when a ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ commanded him to produce that constitution he, ‘Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangabandhu’, became an ILAHA (‘God’).
Isn’t that the case all over the Muslim-majority countries today?
And then, when the law enforcing agencies enforce those laws they become the ILAHA too. Thus when a Judge or a Lawyer implements those laws he becomes an ILAHA as well.
Isn’t that the case in all Muslim-majority countries?
And then, what about the parliamentarians? They are the ones makes new laws or modifies laws which goes against Allah’s Shariah.
Isn’t that the case in all the Muslim-majority countries?
And then, what about those ‘Muslims’ who vote and elect those parliamentarians? They directly contribute to choosing an ILAHA who will make laws against Allah’s Shariah. the ones who make new laws or modify laws that go against Allah’s Shariah. It’s like these Muslims are manufacturing an Idol who will then receive the worship, the rights of which belong to Allah only. La Hawla Wa La Quwwata Illa Billah!
Isn’t that the case all over the Muslim-majority countries today?
While obeying a law other than Allah’s Shariah itself constitutes Shirk, these ‘Muslims’ are directly or indirectly involved in the process of making Laws other than Allah’s Shariah, placing themselves in the position of ‘Other ILAHA’. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun!
(7)
In the Quranic language, these ‘other ILAHA’, those who enact laws against Allah’s Shariah are called TAGHUT. (Quran 4:60).
They put themselves equal to Allah.
And when you obey their LAW where they made the law against Allah’s law, you accept them as your ILAHA (‘God’).
That’s how a Muslim today by default falls into Shirk by ‘happily living ever after’ by accepting and endorsing the Kuffar’s laws, knowingly (whoever is applicable). (We can discuss the un-knowing submission to the Kuffar’s law later, En Shaa Allah!)
And you know that Islam is all about REJECTING all other ILAHA before you come to Allah, which you say by proclaiming ‘LA ILAHA Illa (except) Allah!’
And Allah Subhanahu clearly warned,
“So whoever would hope for the meeting with his RABB—let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his RABB anyone.”
(Sura Kahf 18:110)
So, think O ‘Muslim’, how would your Islam benefit you when you give Allah’s right to OTHER ILAHA?
And Allah knows best.
May Allah save Muslims from obeying the Kuffar’s Law.
Ameen.
(8)
And if all these did not have an impact on you, then read the following Ayah where Allah, Al-Hakeem says:
“And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed, shaitan inspire their allies to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be Mushrikun.”
(Surah Al-An’am 6:121):
Who did Allah mention here as Mushrikun?
Those who obey the people who make Halal what Allah made Haram.
Then, what about obeying the Kuffar’s Law when that was already intended to reject Allah’s Shariah?
Indeed, this is Shirk-Akbar.
And Allah knows best.
(9)
So, what’s the way out?
Category one Muslims:
Muslims living in the Kuffar’s Land, under the Kuffar’s authority, subjected to the Kuffar’s Shariah:
Muslims must move away from the Kuffar’s authority, from the Kuffar’s land, and find land in the Muslim-majority countries, where the authority are those who believe in Allah and His Rasul, Muhammad, Sallallahu A’laihi Wa Sallam even though they rule by Kuffar’s Shariah.
Category Two Muslims:
(1) Muslims living in Muslim-majority countries must work to establish Allah’s Shariah.
(2) If you can’t do that directly yourself, you must help those who directly work for it so that you have an excuse in front of Allah.
(3) When you engage in a dispute, you must try to solve it through the Ulama of the Muslims in the Islamic way.
(4) If the Ulama are unable to settle it and you must settle the issue through the existing Kuffar’s law, cry out to Allah to forgive you but keep hatred in your heart against the Kuffar’s law and for those who implement it.
(5) And when you’re forcibly subjected to the Kuffar’s law, ask Allah to forgive you. Remain conscious all the time and make plenty of Zikr of Allah and talk to your RABB that you didn’t choose the Kuffar’s law yourself.
(6) Wherever possible, whatever possible, however possible in your capability, reject Kuffar’s Shariah.
By doing these, En Shaa Allah, you might be saved from being doing Shirk with Allah, in regards to His Hukum. (Shariah).
What about those vulnerable, old, sick, poor?
Seek Allah’s forgiveness day and night, and remain conscious of Allah.
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and you will have [the consequence of] what [evil] you have gained. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.””
(Sura Baqarah 2:288)
And Allah knows best.
May Allah save us from Kuffar’s Shariah.
May Allah protect us from Shirk.
May Allah grant us Islamic authority, Islamic Shariah, and Islamic State.
Ameen.
