Who do you follow? The Majority! It’s a MYTH. What you must follow is the TRUTH, even if it is ONE!

15 minutes, 40 seconds Read

1. The Hadith:

Ibn ‘Umar narrated that Rasulullah Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said,

“Allah will not gather my Ummah’ or he said [Muhammad’s] Ummah upon deviation,
and Allah’s Hand is over the Jamã’ah, and whoever deviates, he deviates to the Fire.”
Tirmidhi 2167 (Daif), Albani (Saheeh)

2. What is considered a Jama’ah?

You hear this from the right and from the left, they Quote the Hadith saying, “You have to follow the Jama’ah”

When you ask, “What is a Jama’ah?

They will say, “Majority is the Jama’ah”.

Then you ask, Which Jama’ah?

The Jama’ah of the majority.

Then you say, He, Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala says, “If you follow the majoirty they will lead you astray.”

That’s true, that’s about the common people. As among all the human, Muslim is the minority while all other people consist of the majority. This is Allah Ta’ala is saying about not to follow the majority of human being. You don’t count common people’s opinion as Majority as in Democracy. In Islam we count opinions of the Ulema, who has knowledge. That’s what we call Jama’a. Jama’a of the knowledgeable.

I see, you have a point. And I agree with that.
But then are you saying, “It has to be within the Muslims, right?”

Yes. Not only that, the Jama’a is not the Jama’a of the ordinary Muslims. It has to be the Jama’a of the Ulema.

Where you got these condition from?

From the understanding of the Salaf, the righteous predecessor.

Who do you take as the righteous predecessors?

The earlier generations of the Muslims.

Did Rasulullah Salla Allahu Alalhi Wa Sallam predicted about 73 sects?
Aren’t those Muslims of 72 sects, those who will be in fire, consist the majority among Muslims?
Aren’t majority of the Ulema collectively belong in those 72 sects?

You don’t know that. Each sect could consist only of few people, there’s no quantity mentioned about the size of the people in each sect.

3. Is ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’ the correct group?

Then, are you saying your sect forms by the Majority of the Muslim Ulema? And the saved one?

In Shaa Allah, Yes.

Which one is that?

Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah.
But even if all those sects collectively form the majority, you don’t take the Majority of the Ulema from the deviant groups. You must discard those Ulema from the equation. The Majority Ulema has to be from the correct group. And that correct group is Ahle Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’a, those who follow the Quran, the Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.

SubhanAllah! Did you see how many condition you already put to prove your ‘Majority’?
1. Majority cannot be taken from all the human beings. It has to be among the Muslims only.
2. Majority cannot be taken from all the Muslims, it has to be within the Ulema of the Muslims.
3. Majority cannot be taken from all the Ulema of Muslims, you have to discard the deviant Ulema and it has be taken from the correct group.
Note that these points are nowhere in the text. But I will let you keep going to see the end of it.

So, are you saying I should follow the Majority Ulema from ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’?

Yes. And you will be saved In Shaa Allah.

In Shaa Allah, May Allah make us from those who belong to the saved group.

Ameen.

4. Which group belongs to ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’?

But before you conclude, can you tell me which one of the Muslim’s groups that you consider as ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’?

Those who follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.

I understand but who are those?
Do you mean those people or group who call themselves ‘Salafi’?
or
Do you mean those people or group who call themselves ‘Wahabi’?
or
Are those groups of Muslims who follow those Madhabs?
or
Are those groups who call themselves ‘Ahle Hadith’?

It doesn’t matter by what name they named themselves as long as they follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.

So, are you saying it is okay to follow any of theses groups as majority?
For example, Hanafi Ulema consist the majority in my community, shall I follow those Hanafi Ulema?

No, you have to follow Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah.

So, don’t you consider all Hanafi Ulema, Hanafi Muslims as ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’?

You can be a Hanafi and you can also belong to Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah.

How’s that?

You don’t become a blind follower. You follow the Quran, Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.

Are you saying, if a Muslim follow only Hanafi Madhab, he doesn’t follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf?

That’s a blind following of the Imam. You don’t follow anyone blindly. You follow Quran and Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.

But you are saying, “Follow the majority Ulema!”

I am saying follow the majority of those who follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadith, the Way of the Salaf.

5. Who are those Ulema of ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’?

But within ‘Ahle Sunnah Wa Al Jama’ah’ there are many groups.
And I want to know exactly which one among those groups and who are those Ulema of ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’!

Have you heard of Ibne Taymiah, Ibn Qayyium, Nasiruddin Albaani, Sheikh Ibn Baaz, Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen, Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan, Sheikh Al-Munajjid?

Well then, do you discard those Ulema who belong to all those Madhabs?
Aren’t those Ulema from all those Madhabs consist the majority than those who belong to ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’? You have to come to a conclusion my brother!
Don’t you consider those Madhabs as Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah?
If you don’t then we can work on the majority of the Ulema that belongs only to ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’.
Remember we are trying to work out the MAJORITY of the Ulema to follow.
And you gave a further condition that majority Ulema has to be from the correct group.
And you also gave another condition that I have to discard the majority Ulema from the deviant group in the first place..
Therefore, to find the Majority Ulema from the right group, we have to find the correct group first.
So, the same question again, which one you consider the right group?

It’s Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah.
And Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’a are those who follow the Quran and Saheeh Hadith and and the understanding of the Sahaba, the Way of the Salaf.

6. The dillema within the groups of ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’:

You are in the same page my brother. You are now going back to the parrot stage. Gargling the same thing. You can’t proceed any more with your Haqq I can see that.
Let me put this straight forward for your information,
Those who follow the Madhabs, also consider themselves as ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’.
And they consider themselves the follower of the Quran and Saheeh Hadith and the Way of the Salaf.
And they consists of the Majoirty of the Muslims.
And those Ulema in those Madhabs consist the majority of the Ulema.
And then there are those among the Madhab groups who consider those Ulema, such as Albani that you mentioned now, as a deviant Wahabi, Salafi ‘mosquitoes’ etc. derogatory terms whom you follow as ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’.

7. The dillema within the Ulema of ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’:

And then if I take your choice of Ulema that you think belong to ”Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’, yet there are problems too! The scholars you mentioned do not agree on the things that consists of Shirk.
One example is, voting. Among those Ulema you mentioned, the majority considers voting is okay and many of them preach voting while only few of them describe voting is Shirk.
Another example, the issue of Taghut. an issue that takes one out of the fold of Islam, they differ in that issue too. majoprity of them consider these Taghut as Muslims because they say ‘La Ilaha Illa Allah’ and also because they let Muslim pray Salat while only few among those ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’ consider these rulers as Kafir, Murtaq, Taghut because they enact, enforce law other than Allah’s law.

8. Is the majority Ulema of the ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’ on truth?

So, my brother, tell me, which one is the correct ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah?
Tell me, from which ‘Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah’ I find the majority Ulema?
I beg you my brother, I desperately need a solution.
Give me a group, give me a Jama’ah, Give me a Majority.

Then follow the majoirty within Ahle Sunnah Wa Al Jama’ah!

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun! Are you saying in the matter of Shirk I choose the Haqq by the majority? Is the Blind Following feels such sweetness to you my brother? Don’t you fear Allah? Don’t you fear of Jahannam?

And yes you can misguide only those lower than cattle who do not use their brain, those whom you made to believe that “You can’t understand the Quran”. Allah Al Khaliq created you with an enormous organ called brain and and He, Al-Musawwir, fashoined you as the best among all the creatures. But you seem choosing to be lower than cattle by shutting your brain. Bring a class of 13 years old and place the issue of Taghut in front of them, they will In Shaa Allah, Bi Iznillah understand the issue of Taghut and they will clearly differentiate between the Haqq and the Baatil.

You are failed my brother. Your blind following is exposed. You can’t stand on your Baatil anymore.
You can’t. You can’t come up with anything that is acceptable to a person who really, honestly looks for the truth and who can think ‘out of the bubble’ that most of these Ulema put them into.
Your this ‘majority’ bluff will work only with those who just want to have a wishful safe zone, who doesn’t want to make time to take the hard path of looking for the truth and those who embraced the bliss of blind following by taking their respective Ulema as their Rabb.
Its just that simple.

9. Leave the Ummah from your grasp of making them a Blind Follower:

Rather the Ummah need a criteria to find the truth. A tool to measure the truth. A method to seek the truth. A way to work for the truth.
And that way is, my brother:
Free them from the dependency on their respective ‘Ulema’ stuff.
Free their mind from this ‘following majority’ bluff.
And let them to take Quran and Hadith by themselves.
Make them to Contemplate on the Quran and Hadith by themselves first.
Don’t stop Muslims from reading and contemplating on the Quran and Hadith themselves.
Stop keeping the Muslims to remain Jaheel.
Stop making the Muslims depending on you.
Stop your business on the Muslims.
Let them read.
Let the Muslims work to find the Truth.
Stop prescribing the Muslims your choice of Ulema and your choice of Tafsir.
Stop causing them remain in your Blind Following.
Let them read the RAW text from the Quran and Hadith.
Let them draw their own decision first by contemplating on the Quran and Hadith themselves first.
And then they can read Tafsir, Explanation, understanding of all the Ulema they like.
For whatever intention they had in their mind Allah will guide them accordingly In Shaa Allah to find the correct Ulema, the Ulema of Haqq.

10. And the Misguidance, the Contradiction, the Hypocrisy:

On the other hand, don’t you say you follow the understanding of the Salaf, the Way of the Salaf?
The Hadith itself has the understanding from the Salaf about this ‘Majority’.

But you hypocrite comfortably ignore this to run your business on Muslims to keep them in your Blind Following. You say you follow the Way of the Salaf but in reality you don’t, you only follow your Hawa.
And you leased your brain to those misguided Ulema who feed their Hawa leaving the Way of the Salaf.

Thus you made the entire Ummah to believe in the falsehood that they have to follow the majority.
Thus you dragged the entire Ummah in Jahiliyah mindset that they think they have to stick with the Jama’ah even they know it is corrupt.

And the result?
You made the Ummah to live in the bliss of Blind Following.
The ummah don’t struggle for the truth.
The ummah talk against the truth, oppose the truth, stand against the truth.
That’s because you have driven the Ummah in this misguidance!

10. Know the understanding of the Salaf, the Ulema of Haqq

So, read the Hadith and the related information from the collector of the Hadith, Tirmidhi Rahimullah himself from which anybody could conclude the following:

It is not the majority of the Ulema that forms the Jama’ah. It’s the Truth that forms the Jama’ah.
Even if it is only ONE Ulema! That’s the Jama’ah.
(Please read the detail text of the Hadith at the bottom).

And then read the understanding of the true Ulema of Ahle Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah and know how the Ulema of Haqq followed the truth of the FEW over the Majority of the misguided ones.

Ibn ul-Qayyim said:

“All the people went astray during the time of Ahmad bin Hanbal except a few individuals and therefore they were the Jamā’ah (the general group of the Muslims). And all the Judges, the Muftis, the Khalīfah and his followers were astray and Imām Ahmad alone was the Jamā’ah.”

[A’lām ul-Muwaqqi’īn, 4/399]

11. And it is Kalamullah, the Haqq stand:

See again now! Allah is Haqq! His words stand. His words have to stand. He, Al-A’aleem, knows the ultimate truth. And He Subhana Wa Ta’ala says that “If you follow the Majority they will lead you astray” (Al Quranul Hakeem 6:116)
How could something be more clear than this?

But you sometimes take your Ulema’s word above the word of your Rabb. May Allah guide you.
You sometimes take your Ulema’s understanding above the clear text of Allah’s word. May Allah free you from this blind following.
You sometimes take your Ulema as your Rabb. May Allah save you from this Shirk.

12. The criteria to find the truth:

Therefore, leave the myth of ‘Follow the Majority’, ‘Follow the Jamaa’a’ for it does not bring one to the truth rather it causes Muslims to remain Jaheel. The impact of the ‘Majority’ stuff doesn’t let Muslim to take the hard path of learning Deen and seeking for the truth. Rather if you are doing your Dawah for FiSabilillah, then push Muslims to the tools which will help them finding the truth.

And the criteria is my brother, Al-Quran, the furqan.
And that tool is my brother following Allah’s statement, “I made Quran easy to understand, who is there…” (Al-Quran 54:17)
And the way out is in the following of Allah’s command, “Don’t you think”? (Quranul Kareem 47:24)
And the ONLY way of finding the truth is in Allah’s warning, “If you are not contemplating on the Quran, you are deluded” (51:9, 47:24)

Therefore, let the Muslims read the Quran and Hadith themselves and think over it themselves.
So that they can differentiate among the Ulema, those are the ‘Inheritor of the Prophets’ (Musnad al-Bazzār 10/68 Saheeh) and the Ulema, those who are the ‘Worst Creature under the sky’ (Baihaki, Shuabul Eeman, Saheeh).

13. Why a Muslim need to read the Quran and Hadith himself straight from the text:

And this Hadith itself is a proof why Muslims need to read the Raw text from the Hadith themselves so that they can read the detail of it, not an extract portion that the Baatil ‘Ulema’ use for their benefit to keep Muslims in their Bind Following.

Even reading from a mobile app won’t give you a full picture because they only quote the text of the Hadith not the detail (please look at the image of the Hadith in Arabic and in English from Mobile App) unless you read at least the PDF of the main Hadith book (I mean the translated original). Thus you would never be able to come out from the delusion of this ‘Majority’ issue until you read the detail of the Hadith by yourself and conitue following your ‘Ulema’ blindly.

The Hadith itself clears this worst misguidacne of the Ummah of ‘Follow the majoirty’, ‘Follow the Jam’ah’ as it explains the understanding of the Salaf that it is not the majoirty that gives you the truth, Truth could be from only one Ulema of Haqq.

And clearly, these are the issues which differentiate between the Haqq and the Baatil. You won’t find earlier generations of Ulema, such as the Ulema of all four Madhabs, whom the Muslims consider are on Haqq, differeing in the issues of Shirk and Kufr. Therefore, if an issue which consists of Shirk and Kufr and you find there are two groups of Ulema, that’s when you go to the text of the Quran and Hadith yourself and contemplate on it, beg Allah’s guidance.

And Allah knows best.
May Allah guide you and guide me.
May Allah Ajja Wa Jallah open the right path for those who seek guidance and constantly work for it.
May Allah save Muslims from those who caused Ummah in the Blind Following and
May Allah Tabarak Wa Ta’ala make learning of Deen easy for Muslims.

14. The DETAIL of the hadith:

Ibn ‘Umar narrated that Rasulullah Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said,

“Allah will not gather my Ummah” or he said [Muhammad s] Ummah upon deviation,
and Allah’s Hand is over the Jamã’ah, and whoever deviates, he deviates to the Fire.” Tirmidhi 2167 (Daif)

[AbU ‘Elsa said:] This Hadith is Ghartb from this route. In my view, Sulaiman Al-Madan! is Sulaiman
bin Sufyan – there is something on this topic from Ibn Abbas – and AbU Dãwud At-Tayalisi, AbU ‘Amir Al-‘Aqadl and more than one of the people of knowledge reported from him (Sulaiman bin Sufyan). .

[AbU ‘Elsa said:] The explanation of the Jama’ah, according to the people of knowledge, is the people of Fiqh knowledge and Hadith.

He said: “I heard A1-JarUd bin Mu’ãdh saying: ‘I heard ‘All bin Al-Hasan saying: “I asked ‘Abdullãh bin Al Mubarak:
‘Who is the Jama’ah?’
So he said: ‘AbU Bakr and ‘Umar.’
It was said to him: ‘AbU Bakr and -‘Umar have died.’
He said: ‘So and-so.’
It was said to him: ‘So and-so, and so-and-so have died.’,
So ‘Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said: ‘AbU Hamzah As-Sukkari is a Jamã’ah”

[AbU ‘EIsa said:] AbU Hamzah is Muhammad bin MaimUn, he was a righteous Shaikh, and he only said this about during his life, according to us.
