Bismillah!
Al Hamdulillah!
Wa AsSalatu AsSalamu A’la Rasulillah!
There were people when they were asked ‘Who do the earth and the heavens (sky) belong to?
They said, “Allah“.
(Sura Ankabut 29:61-63)
You will see Muslims today also say this.
Why won’t they?
Believing these are the parts of their Eman.
There were people when they were asked “Who created you?”, “Who gives life to the dead?”
You will see Muslims today who say this.
Why won’t they?
Believing these are the parts of their Eman.
They did tawaf around Allah’s house.
You will see Muslims today also do tawaf around the same house.
Why won’t they?
Doing these acts is the part of their Ebadah.
They were a nation (tribe) called Quraish.
They believed in Allah and worshipped Allah, but they worshipped others besides Allah so they were called Mushrikun, they were not called Muslims.
You will see people today who call themselves Muslims, believe in Allah (as Quraish did) and worship Allah.
However, many of them go to ‘Mazar’, ‘Dargah’, ‘Pir’ (I even feel disgusted to put any reference to these activities) to ask for help (just as Quraish used to go to the idols to ask for help). Many of them sacrifice cattle for their “Pir” (just as Quraish used to do the same for idols). But surprisingly they still call themselves Muslims!
What do you think these Muslims should be called today? I’ll let you think, but meanwhile, I propose the name ‘Mushrik Muslim’ (though mushrik cannot be associated with ‘Muslim’, but what can I do? Someone please think of an appropriate name).
Then, the Quraish had their own system of life. They had their own social culture, and in their daily life, they followed the systems made by their forefathers.
Long gone was the “system of life” taught to them by their fathers Ibrahim and Ismail, so they were called “Jahili Arabs”.
“Our RABB, and send among them a Messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:129)
“Indeed, Allah chose Kinanah from the children of Ismail, and He chose Quraysh from Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and He chose me from Banu Hashim.”
(Sahih Muslim 2276)
You will see people today who call themselves Muslims but follow a system of life other than what their creator has prescribed for them.
Yet surprisingly, they call themselves Muslims. (Think, what these ‘Muslims’ should be called now, but meanwhile, I propose the name ‘Jahil Muslim’ (though ‘Jahil’ cannot be associated with ‘Muslims”, but what can I do? Someone please think of an appropriate name).
The time those Quraish lived in was called “Jahiliyah”. Since today Muslims also doing the same thing, what should this time be called, other than “Jahiliyah“?
Let’s now think, what’s the difference between the people who believed in Allah and the people today who believe in Allah?
Those people who were called “Jahili Arabs” did not have a guideline, instruction manual or a book to follow.
But today’s Muslims have a guideline, an instruction manual, a book from the one who created them. (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185). Yet they follow a system other than what their Rabb prescribed for them.
The mountains are about to explode, the oceans are pounding in rage, and the skies are roaring in anguish. They have the ideas of the Kuffar’s, they have the lifestyle of Kuffar’s, and they run their life with that of the philosophy of the Kuffar’s, but still, they call themselves Muslims.
They think they own Islam because they were born in a Muslim family, while they took the Kuffars as their Rabb. Who then, are more Jaheel than today’s Muslims? Aren’t they more Jaheel than the ‘Jaheel Arabs’? (since they did not have a guideline)
This is the premise of this blog, ‘Is Allah Not Your RABB?’
Who do you take as your Rabb?
Your creator, or the people who do not believe in your creator?
Whose system do you follow in your life?
The system of the enemy of Islam, the Kuffar’s, or the system of your creator?
Who do you take as your Rabb?
Did Allah not give you a complete system of life?
Did not Allah ask you “Am I not your Rabb?” (Surah Al-A’raf 7:172)
Then, O ‘Muslim’, who do you follow?
Is Allah not your RABB?
And Allah knows best.
May Allah guide ‘Muslims’ to Tawheed.
